This policy explains what data the CarGoo (customer) and CarGoo Partners (driver) apps and the cargoo.delivery / cargoo.online website collect, why, and what your rights are.
Who we are
The CarGoo and CarGoo Partners apps and this website are published by Cargoo Logistics LLC, the controller of your personal data. CarGoo is an on-demand goods transport service in Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Morocco and Cameroon, operated directly or through country managers. Contact: contact@cargoo.delivery.
Data we collect
For all users
- Identity and contact: name, phone number, email, optional profile photo.
- Account: language, country, login identifier (including Google or Apple if you use them).
- Trips: pickup and delivery addresses, vehicle chosen, price, history, ratings.
- Payments: amounts, payment method, transaction references. We do not store your mobile money PINs.
- Device: model, app version and notification token.
Location
- Customers: location while using the app, to suggest the pickup address and show tracking.
- Drivers: location including when the app is in the background, only while the driver is “online”, to offer nearby trips and enable live tracking by the customer. Location tracking stops when the driver goes “offline”.
Drivers and partners
- Documents: ID, driver’s license, vehicle registration, insurance, vehicle photos.
- Earnings payout information: mobile money number.
Why we use it
- To create and secure your account and sign you in with an SMS code.
- To calculate prices, assign trips, and enable tracking and code-based delivery.
- To process payments, withdrawals and receipts.
- To vet drivers before accepting them.
- To send you notifications about your trips and, if you agree, our offers.
- For support, fraud prevention and compliance with our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
- Between customer and driver: the first name, photo, rating, vehicle and location needed for the trip.
- The CarGoo country manager in your country, for local operation of the service.
- Our technical providers: hosting, maps (Google Maps), notifications (Firebase), SMS delivery, mobile money payments. They use your data only to provide their service to us.
- Authorities, when required by law.
We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
Your data is kept as long as your account is active. After your account is deleted, it is erased or anonymized within 30 days, except for items the law requires us to keep longer (for example, accounting records of transactions).
Your rights
You can access your data, correct it, request its deletion or object to certain uses. Write to contact@cargoo.delivery. To delete your account, follow the page Account deletion.
Security
Communications between the apps and our servers are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to data is limited to people who need it.
Children
CarGoo services are not intended for people under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
